We are all creative sometimes, somehow.

I was thinking this week about creativity.

Not the polished kind.
Not the gallery art show. (but that would be cool)

Just… the act of making something.

Because in tough seasons — and a lot of people are in one right now — it’s easy to get stuck in your head.

Overthinking.
Replaying things.
Waiting for clarity before you move.

And that usually makes it worse.

What I’ve noticed — in business, at home, anywhere really — is this:

When things feel heavy…
the move isn’t to think more.

It’s to create.

Build something.
Fix something.
Capture something.
Start something.

It doesn’t have to be perfect.

In fact, it won’t be.

There’s something about the act of creating that pulls you out of the noise.

It gives you traction.
A small win.
A sense that you’re moving again.

And sometimes that’s all you need.

It also made me think about leadership.

Because not everyone wants to lead.

A lot of people are just waiting — not in a bad way — but in a “point me in the right direction” way.

They want to contribute.
They want to do good work.
They just need someone to start it.

That’s where you come in.

At work.
At home.
With your friends.
With your team.

Start something.

Get people moving.

You don’t need a perfect plan.

You need momentum.

And momentum usually starts with someone willing to go first.

And here’s the part I keep coming back to:

Creativity isn’t reserved for “creative people.”

It’s not about talent.

It’s about action.

You make something…
and it makes you feel a little better.

And if it does that for you,

there’s a good chance it does that for someone else too.

So if things feel off right now…

Don’t wait.

Go create something.

3 Things Worth Paying Attention To

1. Action breaks overthinking
You don’t think your way out of stuck. You move your way out.

2. Most people are ready to follow
They don’t need perfection — they need direction.

3. Creativity is a tool, not a talent
Use it to change your state, not impress people.

One Simple Reset (This Week)

Make something — anything:

  • write one page

  • take 5 photos

  • organize one messy area

  • start a conversation you’ve been avoiding

Don’t judge it.

Just move.

Let’s Connect

If you’re in a season that feels heavy — in business or life — you don’t have to carry it alone.

Let’s talk.

No pitch.
Just conversation.
