In partnership with

We had a lot of rain this week.

The kind where yards start to flood…
water runs over the road…
everything just feels a little off.

Nothing too bad here.
But enough to notice.

I was out driving and saw a young woman stuck.

Her car had stalled in the water.
She was trying to figure out what to do next.

We have a big truck, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Pulled over, helped her push it to the side.

She looked at me, shook my hand, and said thank you.

That was it.

Simple moment.

But it stuck with me.

Because right now, the world feels messy.

Especially here in the U.S.

There’s a lot of noise.
A lot of tension.
A lot of things that feel bigger than us.

And it’s easy to feel like… what can I even do?

But moments like that remind me:

You don’t fix the world all at once.

You help where you are.

You do the small thing in front of you.

Not a miracle.
Not some big act.

Just… something.

And maybe that’s the reset.

When it feels like too much…
like the pressure is too high…
like the water is too deep…

Go small.

Look for what’s working.

Look for what’s good.

Because it’s there.

More than we give it credit for.

Try this:

  • 5 things in your life that are good

  • 5 things that make you smile

  • 5 people you know who are just really good people

It adds up faster than you think.

Smile at someone in public.
Look people in the eye (not in a weird way).
Say something kind.

Your world — your actual world — is closer than you think.

And sometimes, it’s enough.

3 Things Worth Paying Attention To

1. Small actions matter more than we think
You don’t need to solve everything. Just help where you are.

2. Perspective is a practice
What you focus on expands — good or bad.

3. Your immediate world is powerful
Family. Friends. Community. That’s where most of life actually happens.
