Another full week at Aqua.
The kind of week where everything is moving…
and everything feels a little tight at the same time.
New building.
New staff.
Cash flow.
Growth.
All the good things.
All the hard things.
And I keep coming back to this:
I’m really proud of what Hollie has built.
In less than four years, she’s built one of the top med spas in the area.
From nothing.
And she’s just getting started.
But growth seasons don’t feel polished.
They feel stretched.
Messy.
A little uncertain.
Then, in the middle of all that…
Ashley texted me.
Grayson wanted to know if I had a whoopee cushion.
So of course… I went on Amazon and bought about a dozen.
And that pretty much became the day.
Whoopee cushions.
Over and over.
Laughing every single time.
And here’s the thing:
Farts will never not be funny.
A four-year-old reminded me of that.
No strategy.
No pressure.
No growth plan.
Just laughing.
And for a little while, none of the hard stuff mattered.
Or maybe it still mattered… just not as much.
That’s the balance.
You can be building something meaningful.
Carrying real responsibility.
Pushing through a tough season.
And still find yourself laughing over something completely ridiculous.
You need both.
Spring still isn’t here yet.
I was freezing at Jack’s lacrosse game this weekend.
But you can tell it’s close.
The air smells different.
The light hangs a little longer.
Something is shifting… even if it doesn’t look like it yet.
Maybe life works the same way.
Hard seasons.
Growth seasons.
Cold stretches.
And then — a whoopee cushion and a four-year-old laugh cuts right through it.
Don’t miss that.

3 Things Worth Paying Attention To
1. Growth and pressure go together
If things feel tight, it usually means something is expanding.
2. Joy doesn’t have to be earned
You don’t need to “finish the work” before you can laugh.
3. Small moments reset everything
Sometimes the best reset isn’t a plan — it’s a moment.
One Simple Reset (This Week)
Find something small and unnecessary… and enjoy it:
laugh longer than you normally would
do something a little ridiculous
put the phone down and be fully there
let a moment be just a moment
You don’t need to optimize it.

The Alchemist — Paulo Coelho
A reminder that the journey matters just as much as the outcome — and sometimes the simplest moments carry the most meaning.
